Elementary Teacher
Foremost School
Prairie Rose Public Schools is seeking a full-time teacher at Foremost school for the 2026/27 school year. Under the guidance of the School Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction in physical education at the elementary and Jr. High level, mathematics and language for grades 3 and 4, and some elementary options while fostering and maintaining a positive, safe, and caring learning environment. Through adequate preparation and organization, the teacher will exhibit excellent classroom management in the promotion of goals and standards as adopted and approved by Alberta Education. Using regular evaluation and reporting, the teacher will encourage and foster lifelong learning in students while maintaining confidentiality and open communication with parents and guardians. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a professional team environment.
Qualifications
● Bachelor of Education Degree from an accredited University ● Alberta Teaching Certificate
Terms of Employment
● 1.0 FTE Probationary Teaching Contract ● August 27th, 2026 to June 29th,2027
About Prairie Rose Public Schools:
Prairie Rose School Division is primarily located in the South-Eastern region of Alberta in the communities of: Bow Island, Cypress County, County of 40 Mile, Foremost, MD of Acadia Valley, Oyen, Redcliff and Special Areas, along with two schools in the City of Calgary. The Division consists of 18 public schools, 2 Outreach schools, 2 Alternative Program schools, and 19 Hutterite Colony schools and educates approximately 6500 students. Our Division office is located in Dunmore, Alberta, near the city of Medicine Hat.
