Foremost School

Prairie Rose Public Schools is seeking a full time teacher at Foremost school for the 2026-2027 school year. Foremost School is a K-12 school with approximately 138 students. Under the guidance of the School Principal, the successful candidate will provide instruction in high school Science, Physical Education, and the Rodeo Academy Program, while fostering a positive, safe, and caring learning environment. The role offers flexibility aligned with the candidate’s strengths and interests, including opportunities to support and lead components of the school’s Rodeo Program and to participate in other extracurricular activities. A strong commitment to active involvement in school life is essential.

Qualifications

● Bachelor of Education Degree from an accredited University ● Alberta Teaching Certificate ● Competitive rodeo participation or rodeo coaching, training, or mentoring experience is a strong asset ● Experience as an athletic director will be considered an asset

Terms of Employment

● 1.0 FTE Probationary Teacher Contract ● August 27, 2026 to June 29, 2027

Prairie Rose School Division is primarily located in the South-Eastern region of Alberta in the communities of: Bow Island, Cypress County, County of 40 Mile, Foremost, MD of Acadia Valley, Oyen, Redcliff and Special Areas, along with two schools in the City of Calgary. The Division consists of 18 public schools, 2 Outreach schools, 2 Alternative Program schools, and 19 Hutterite Colony schools and educates approximately 6500 students. Our Division office is located in Dunmore, Alberta, near the city of Medicine Hat.
