Music Teacher
Eagle Butte High School
Prairie Rose Public School Division is seeking a 1.0 FTE Probationary Music Teacher (with the addition of other specialties), at Eagle Butte High School, in Dunmore, Alberta, for the 2026-2027 school year. Reporting to the School Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction in General Music with the possibility of another specialty also being added, while fostering and maintaining a positive, safe, and caring learning environment. Through adequate preparation and organization, the teacher will exhibit excellent classroom management in the promotion of goals and standards as adopted and approved by Alberta Education. Using regular evaluation and reporting, the teacher will encourage and foster lifelong learning in students, while maintaining confidentiality and open communication with parents and/or guardians. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a professional, team environment. Willingness to be involved in extracurricular activities will be considered an asset.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Education Degree from an accredited university • Alberta Teaching Certificate
Terms of Employment
• 1.0 FTE Probationary Teaching Contract • August 27, 2026 - June 29, 2027
About Prairie Rose Public Schools:
Prairie Rose School Division is primarily located in the South-Eastern region of Alberta in the communities of: Bow Island, Cypress County, County of 40 Mile, Foremost, MD of Acadia Valley, Oyen, Redcliff and Special Areas, along with two schools in the City of Calgary. The Division consists of 18 public schools, 2 Outreach schools, 2 Alternative Program schools, and 19 Hutterite Colony schools and educates approximately 6500 students.
