Rosebank Colony School
Prairie Rose Public Schools (PRPS) is seeking to fill a 0.5 FTE Teacher/Principal position at Rosebank Colony School for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a probationary position with the potential to become a permanent position with a continuous contract. Rosebank Colony School is a new school with approximately 11 students from grades K – 9. Rosebank Colony is located approximately 30 km southwest of Foremost, AB, or 90 km southeast of Lethbridge, AB. Reporting to the Colony Supervisor, the successful candidate will possess a strong academic background as this position will provide classroom instruction in a multi-graded classroom setting to all students, grades K through 9.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Education Degree from an accredited University • Alberta Teaching Certificate • Comprehensive understanding of the Alberta curriculum • Ability to plan and teach in a dynamic learning environment • Respect and understanding of the Hutterite culture
Terms of Employment
• 0.5 FTE Probationary Teaching Contract • 2026-2027
About Prairie Rose Public Schools:
Prairie Rose School Division is primarily located in the South-Eastern region of Alberta and educates approximately 5100 students in the communities of: Bow Island, Cypress County, County of 40 Mile, Foremost, MD of Acadia Valley, Oyen, Redcliff and Special Areas, with two schools in the City of Calgary, as well. The Division consists of 18 public schools, 2 Outreach schools. 2 Alternative Program schools, and 18 Hutterite Colony schools. Our Division office is located in Dunmore, Alberta, near the city of Medicine Hat.
