Irvine School
Prairie Rose Public Schools is seeking a full-time teacher at Irvine School for the 2026/27 school year. Reporting to the School Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional, skill-focused instruction in a Grade 2 Classroom, while fostering and maintaining a positive, safe, and caring learning environment. Through deliberate preparation and organization, the teacher will demonstrate excellent classroom management to promote goals and standards as adopted and approved by Alberta Education. Through regular evaluation and reporting, the teacher will foster lifelong learning in students while maintaining confidentiality and open communication with parents and guardians. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a professional team environment. Irvine School is located just 20 minutes outside of Medicine Hat and serves 390 students in Kindergarten through to Grade 9. Qualifications
• Bachelor of Education Degree from an accredited University • Alberta Teaching Certificate • Willingness and ability to contribute to extracurricular programming
Terms of Employment
• 1.0 FTE Temporary Teaching Contract • August 27th, 2026 to June 29th, 2027

Prairie Rose Public Schools serves a predominantly rural population in the Southeastern region of Alberta, with approximately 3300 students in the communities of Bow Island, Cypress County, County of 40 Mile, Foremost, MD of Acadia Valley, Oyen, and Redcliff. A Board of seven trustees operates 18 Public Schools, 18 Hutterite Colony Schools, and Coulee Collegiate (a distance learning high school in partnership with Medicine Hat Public School Division and the Medicine Hat College).
