Eagle Butte High School
Prairie Rose Public Schools is seeking a full-time teacher for the 2026–2027 school year at Eagle Butte High School in Dunmore. The successful candidate will teach Physical Education and senior high science courses, likely including Biology 20 and Science 20. We are seeking an educator who does more than deliver curriculum, we are looking for a mentor who inspires students through science education and physical literacy. The successful candidate will foster a safe, caring, and high-achieving learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, stay active, and become lifelong learners. Through engaging Science 20-level instruction, students will explore scientific concepts and make meaningful connections to the world around them. In Physical Education and Sports Performance classes, the ideal candidate will promote healthy, active lifestyles while building confidence, teamwork, leadership, and personal wellness. With strong classroom and gymnasium management, a commitment to Alberta Education standards, and a student-centered approach, you will play an important role in supporting academic achievement, athletic development, and overall student success.
Qualifications
● Bachelor of Education Degree from an accredited University ● Alberta Teaching Certificate ● Solid understanding of the Alberta Curriculum for English
Terms of Employment
• 1.0 FTE Probationary Teaching Contract • August 27, 2026 - June 29, 2027
About Prairie Rose Public Schools:
Prairie Rose School Division is primarily located in the South-Eastern region of Alberta in the communities of: Bow Island, Cypress County, County of 40 Mile, Foremost, MD of Acadia Valley, Oyen, Redcliff and Special Areas, along with two schools in the City of Calgary. The Division consists of 18 public schools, 2 Outreach schools, 2 Alternative Program schools, and 19 Hutterite Colony schools and educates approximately 6500 students. Our Division office is located in Dunmore, Alberta, near the city of Medicine Hat.
