Community Feedback and Engagement

A newly modernized school is not only exciting for the internal school community, but can also provide an opportunity for the community at large to participate in the feedback process. While the primary purpose of a school building is to support and enhance the educational learning experience of our youth, these public buildings also provide the opportunity to add much needed community spaces.

Prairie Rose Public Schools and the Town of Redcliff have a long term working agreement that supports the sharing of community facilities to enhance the quality of living for all Redcliff residents. Examples of this partnership includes shared use agreements for the use of the golf course, swimming pool, arena, parks and much more. The Parkside Jr High School modernization project provides Prairie Rose the opportunity to further enhance these recreational and learning opportunities for residents and our students.

Based on the needs of the Parkside Jr High School building, the priorities of the project will be focused on the following areas of the school:

  1. Gymnasium: Enhancing our sports and physical education facilities.
  2. Career Foundations and Technology Learning Spaces: Building the future by integrating modern tech and foundational career skills.
  3. School Exterior: Creating a welcoming first impression.
  4. Bright and Inviting Internal School Environment: Ensuring our internal spaces inspire positivity, creativity, and inclusivity.

With the project priorities outlined, Prairie Rose Public Schools is seeking input from students, staff, parents and the community in these areas.

How can I provide feedback on the project?

Members of the school community and the public are invited to participate in an online survey to provide their feedback and share their thoughts about the current Parkside Jr High School building. To complete the survey, participants will need to have some knowledge of the current school facility.

Public access to the building is being made available on the following dates to ensure anyone who would like to provide input has the opportunity to do so.

  • October 12th from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • October 19th from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Please plan to attend one of these evenings if you want to view the school.  We will not be allowing unplanned public access to the school during school hours.
