Head Custodian
Irvine School
Prairie Rose Public Schools is seeking a Full time Head Custodian to join the team at Irvine School. Under the guidance of the School Principal and the Custodial Supervisor, the Head Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, healthy work environment for all staff and students. Using a variety of equipment and chemical products, the Custodian will perform all duties while adhering to Occupational Health and Safety guidelines as well as WHMIS regulations. Duties include but are not limited to, cleaning of all rooms and contents, regular garbage collection and removal, maintenance of janitorial equipment, and building security. The Head Custodian will maintain the confidentiality of all information while communicating with students, staff and school visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Qualifications
● Working knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment ● Strong communication and comprehension skills; both written and verbal ● Proven ability to work independently within a team environment ● Physical ability to perform all tasks as required ● Previous work experience in a school setting is an asset
Terms of Employment
• Immediate Start Date • Monday – Friday • 8 hours per day; 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
About Prairie Rose Public Schools:
Prairie Rose School Division is primarily located in the South-Eastern region of Alberta in the communities of: Bow Island, Cypress County, County of 40 Mile, Foremost, MD of Acadia Valley, Oyen, Redcliff and Special Areas, along with two schools in the City of Calgary. The Division consists of 18 public schools, 2 Outreach schools, 2 Alternative Program schools, and 18 Hutterite Colony schools and educates approximately 6500 students. Our Division office is located in Dunmore, Alberta, near the city of Medicine Hat.
