Prairie Rose Public Schools is seeking a visionary, collaborative, and multi-talented educator to join the team at Ralston School in the dual role of IB Middle Years Program (MYP) Coordinator and Specialist Teacher - French, Art/Design, Music. Located 30 minutes from Medicine Hat, AB, Ralston School is a candidate school for both the Middle and Primary Years Program within the International Baccalaureate World Schools. An IB education strives to develop the best in every student, and with this solid academic foundation, IB students strengthen transferable skills including research, communication and critical thinking. Key Responsibilities MYP Coordination: Lead the implementation, development, and moderation of the Middle Years Program. Support staff in lesson planning, unit planning, oversee the Personal Project, and ensure compliance with IB standards and practices. Instructional Excellence: Deliver high-quality, inquiry-based instruction across a diverse portfolio including: • French - Language Acquisition: Fostering multilingualism and intercultural understanding • English / Language Arts Instruction: promoting strong reading, writing, and comprehension • Arts (Music & Visual Arts): Encouraging creative expression and aesthetic appreciation • Design: Leading our Design cycle, with a focus on modern fabrication

Qualifications

● Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate; cross Canada labour mobility supported ● Demonstrated ability to teach French, English, Music, and Art at both the Middle and Primary Years level ● A strong background in Design Studies, including hands-on experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping is highly preferred ● Significant experience working within an IB World School will be considered an asset Who You Are ● An Inquirer who stays current with global educational trends. ● Communicator: You can bridge the gap between IB philosophy and classroom practice for parents, students, and staff. ● Risk-Taker: You are excited to manage a makerspace environment and integrate technology into the arts.

About Prairie Rose Public Schools:

Prairie Rose School Division is primarily located in the South-Eastern region of Alberta in the communities of: Bow Island, Cypress County, County of 40 Mile, Foremost, MD of Acadia Valley, Oyen, Redcliff, and Special Areas, along with two schools in the City of Calgary. The Division consists of 18 public schools, 2 Outreach schools, 2 Alternative Program schools, and 18 Hutterite Colony schools and educates approximately 6500 students. Our Division office is located in Dunmore, Alberta, near the city of Medicine Hat.
