Due to a leave, Prairie Rose Public Schools is seeking a Teacher at OBK Campus for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. Located in Calgary, AB, OBK Campus is a K to 9 school with a wide array of resources designed to foster students' achievement, preparing them for higher education and forging future career paths. Under the guidance of the School Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction in junior high math and science. Through adequate preparation and organization, the teacher will exhibit excellent classroom management in the promotion of goals and standards as adopted and approved by Alberta Education. Using regular evaluation and reporting, the teacher will encourage and foster lifelong learning in students while maintaining confidentiality and open communication with parents and guardians. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a professional team environment while fostering and maintaining a positive, safe, and caring learning environment. Our ideal candidate will contribute to creating exceptional student experiences through their involvement in extracurricular activities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Education Degree from an accredited University • Alberta Teaching Certificate • Knowledge of inclusive education practices and differentiated instruction • Strong collaboration and communication skills • Understanding, respect, and willingness to work in an Islamic faith environment
Terms of Employment
• 1.0 FTE Temporary Teaching Contract • Immediately - June 26, 2026
About Prairie Rose Public Schools:
Prairie Rose School Division is primarily located in the South-Eastern region of Alberta in the communities of: Bow Island, Cypress County, County of 40 Mile, Foremost, MD of Acadia Valley, Oyen, Redcliff and Special Areas, along with two schools in the City of Calgary. The Division consists of 18 public schools, 2 Outreach schools, 2 Alternative Program schools, and 18 Hutterite Colony schools and educates approximately 6500 students. Our Division office is located in Dunmore, Alberta, near the city of Medicine Hat.
