Maintenance Worker
Division Office - Dunmore, AB
Prairie Rose Public Schools is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join the team at Division Office in Dunmore, AB. The Maintenance Worker plays a key role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of school facilities and grounds. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and operational tasks that support a safe working and learning environment for students and staff. Our ideal candidate is skilled in various trades, capable of working independently, and committed to maintaining high standards of building and grounds care.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in construction-related skills such as carpentry, drywalling, welding, and painting • Experience with HVAC system operation and maintenance, or possession of a minimum 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate (asset) • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License • Strong working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems • Experience operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Ability to work effectively and respectfully in a school environment with students and staff
Terms of Employment
• Tuesday – Friday • 10 hours per day/40 hours per week
About Prairie Rose Public Schools:
Prairie Rose School Division is primarily located in the South-Eastern region of Alberta in the communities of: Bow Island, Cypress County, County of 40 Mile, Foremost, MD of Acadia Valley, Oyen, Redcliff and Special Areas, along with two schools in the City of Calgary. The Division consists of 18 public schools, 2 Outreach schools, 2 Alternative Program schools, and 18 Hutterite Colony schools and educates approximately 6500 students. Our Division office is located in Dunmore, Alberta, near the city of Medicine Hat.
