Educational Assistant - Kindergarten

Prairie Rose Public Schools is seeking a Full Time Educational Assistant to join the team at Kingslake Colony School. Kingslake Colony School is located approximately 15 kilometres west of Foremost, AB and serves students in grades 1 to 9. This position involves working with kindergarten students who are new to the school system. Working with these students, the Educational Assistant will provide support in the delivery of the educational program, tracking student data and student progression with the supervising teacher. The Educational Assistant will promote a positive learning environment while respecting the confidentiality of the teacher, students, and parent community.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma; required • Education Assistant certificate or equivalent; preferred • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal • Ability to work effectively with all students in an inclusive learning environment • Previous work experience in a learning environment is an asset • Respect and understanding of the Hutterite culture
Terms of Employment
• March 30, 2026 – June 25, 2026 • Monday – Friday • 6 hours per day / 30 hours per week • Kindergarten Classroom

Prairie Rose School Division is primarily located in the South-Eastern region of Alberta in the communities of: Bow Island, Cypress County, County of 40 Mile, Foremost, MD of Acadia Valley, Oyen, Redcliff and Special Areas, along with two schools in the City of Calgary. The Division consists of 18 public schools, 2 Outreach schools, 2 Alternative Program schools, and 18 Hutterite Colony schools and educates approximately 6500 students. Our Division office is located in Dunmore, Alberta, near the city of Medicine Hat.
