Jason Duchscherer Named Principal of Ralston School

Prairie Rose Public Schools would like to announce the transfer of Jason Duchscherer to the position of Principal of Ralston School starting the 2024-2025 year. Ralston School is located on the CFB Suffield Canadian Military Base with a current enrollment of 65 students.

Jason started his teaching career with Prairie Rose School Division in 1999 as a teacher at Oyen Public School. With 15 years of school administration experience, Jason has held the principal role at Oyen Public School, South Central High School, Schuler School and the vice-principal position at Eagle Butte High School. The move to Ralston School brings him back to the Medicine Hat area after working in Oyen for the past four years.

“I look forward to moving back and am excited about the opportunity to work at Ralston School. The school is very unique compared to other public schools based on the military connection and the cultural diversity that comes with working with families and students from other countries. I have heard many great things about the learning and opportunities available for students and I am eager to get to know the staff and community in the months to come.” 

Jason currently is the principal of both Oyen Public School and South Central High School.
