Day of Mourning, September 19, 2022

On September 19, 2022, Prairie Rose Public Schools will participate in a Day of Mourning in solemn recognition of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as per the direction of the Province of Alberta. All Prairie Rose schools will remain open. 

Schools are encouraged to commemorate the passing of Her late Majesty by observing a moment of silence or discussing her life and public service in the classroom. The Province will also be live-streaming a ceremony at the Alberta legislature at 10:00 a.m. Schools are invited to participate via the online link which is available at https://www.alberta.ca/queen-elizabeth-memorial-services.aspx
