Educational Assistant
Warren Peers School
Prairie Rose Public Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant to join the team at Warren Peers School for the 2026-2027 school year. Located in the rural community of Acadia Valley, AB, approximately 30 minutes south of Oyen, AB, Warren Peers School is a K-9 school proudly serving 40 students. Reporting to the School Principal and Supervising Teacher, the successful candidate will work with students to provide academic assistance and behaviour support, facilitating integration into the classroom and school environment. Working collaboratively within a team of professionals, the Educational Assistant will attend meetings with teachers, parents and therapists as required, and will promote a positive learning environment, while respecting the confidentiality of the teacher, students, and parent community.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma • Education Assistant certificate or equivalent; preferred • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal • Proven ability to work effectively with all students in an inclusive learning environment • Previous work experience in a learning environment is an asset
Terms of Employment
• August 27, 2026 – June 25, 2027 • 15 hours per week • 8:45 – 11:45 a.m. daily

Prairie Rose School Division is primarily located in the South-Eastern region of Alberta in the communities of: Bow Island, Cypress County, County of 40 Mile, Foremost, MD of Acadia Valley, Oyen, Redcliff and Special Areas, along with two schools in the City of Calgary. The Division consists of 18 public schools, 2 Outreach schools, 2 Alternative Program schools, and 19 Hutterite Colony schools and educates approximately 6500 students. Our Division office is located in Dunmore, Alberta, near the city of Medicine Hat.
