SAFA Application Process
Before you Apply
Contact Davina Thuroo at Prairie Rose Public Schools (PRPS) division office by phone (403-527-5516, ext. 2300) or by email (davinathuroo@prrd8.ca) to check on availability into the SAFA program as there are a maximum number of students that can be registered in the program each year.
If applying from outside of PRPS school division, an out of district application needs to be made to Eagle Butte High School.
Once the out of district application is accepted, a school registration and SAFA academy application form need to be completed. More information about registering at PRPS can be found here: https://www.myprps.com/student-registration-guide
An aviation medical examination is mandatory for any student who wishes to receive a private pilot’s license. It takes approximately four weeks to two months for certification to return to the student (if there are not issues) from Transport Canada to allow the student to start pilot training.
All prospective students must also schedule an interview with Super T Aviation once the above steps are complete.
