The Prairie Rose Legacy Fund is a long term investment fund created to support students, programs, and communities across Prairie Rose Public Schools. Donations to the Legacy Fund are invested and grown over time. Each year, a portion of the earnings may be used to support students and schools, while the original contributions remain in place to continue generating support into the future. This approach creates a stable and sustainable source of funding that benefits students not just today, but for years to come.

Prairie Rose Public Schools serves students across a wide range of communities, each with unique needs and opportunities. The Prairie Rose Legacy Fund helps ensure that all students, no matter where they live, have access to meaningful learning experiences and supports. By building a long term source of funding, the Legacy Fund helps: ➡️ support student opportunity and access ➡️ enhance innovative programming such as agriculture, aviation, and skilled trades ➡️ contribute to learning spaces and school environments ➡️ strengthen rural education and support communities across the division Donors can also indicate the area where they are most interested in having their contribution make an impact, including student supports, programs, learning spaces, or where the need is greatest. These preferences help guide how annual earnings from the fund are used.
How does the Legacy Fund work?
All donations to the Prairie Rose Legacy Fund are combined into a single investment fund and managed professionally, including through Cypress Hills Capital. This pooled approach: ➡️ strengthens the overall fund ➡️ allows it to grow more effectively over time ➡️ creates a larger and more stable source of support Each year, the fund generates returns. A portion of those returns may be used to support Prairie Rose priorities, while the remaining earnings are reinvested to support continued growth.
