International Student Program
Prairie Rose Public Schools is currently looking for homestay families to support our international student program. As a homestay family, you will be asked to care for your student as a member of your family. This includes involving them in your family's daily lives and sharing unique Canadian experiences with them.
Homestay options can vary in length. Families can choose to host a student for a month, two months, five months or a full school year. $900/per month is provided to support students during their time with the homestay family.
As a host family, you will be expected to provide:
- Private bedroom
- Three wholesome meals a day and snacks as required
- Quiet, well-lit and heated study space
- Access to the common living area of the house
- Laundry
- Emotional support
- Academic support
- Interaction with the family members
- Participation in family activities and our PRPS International Student Program Activities
