Summer Grounds Persons
Dunmore, Bow Island/Foremost, Oyen
Prairie Rose Public Schools is seeking to hire five (5) Full Time Summer Grounds Persons to join the Maintenance team at Division Office. Three (3) positions will be located in the Dunmore, AB area, One (1) position will be for the Bow Island/Foremost area, and One (1) position will be located in the Oyen, AB area. Reporting to the Director of Building Operations and Supervising Maintenance Employee, the successful candidates will be responsible for the maintenance of lawns, shrubs, and flower beds at all assigned locations. The Grounds Persons will ensure all areas are well maintained, presentable in appearance, and all garbage is disposed of in a timely manner.
Qualifications
● Working knowledge of a variety of landscaping equipment & tools; required ● Valid Class 5 Driver’s License; required ● Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment ● Physical ability to perform all tasks as required ● Previous groundskeeping experience is an asset
Terms of Employment
• May 1, 2026 – August 28, 2026 • 4 days per week/10 hours per day – as assigned by the direct supervisor • 40 hours per week
About Prairie Rose Public Schools:
Prairie Rose School Division is primarily located in the South-Eastern region of Alberta in the communities of: Bow Island, Cypress County, County of 40 Mile, Foremost, MD of Acadia Valley, Oyen, Redcliff and Special Areas, along with two schools in the City of Calgary. The Division consists of 18 public schools, 2 Outreach schools, 2 Alternative Program schools, and 18 Hutterite Colony schools and educates approximately 6500 students. Our Division office is located in Dunmore, Alberta, near the city of Medicine Hat.
