This CASA classroom is designed primarily for junior high students (Grades 7 to 9) who need a smaller, more supportive learning environment.
How long do students attend?
Students attend for one semester, followed by transition support back to their home school.
How do students get into the program?
Students are referred through their home school, with input from families and medical or mental health providers.
Can families apply directly?
No. Referrals must come through the student’s school.
What supports are provided during the day?
Students receive both academic instruction and mental health support, including therapy and access to a full team of professionals.
Will students continue with school work?
Yes. Students continue working on key academic areas through individualized learning plans.
Is family involvement required?
Yes. Families are an important part of the program and may be involved in therapy and ongoing support planning.
