Badlands Baseball Academy
The Badlands Academy is located in Oyen, AB. Oyen is in the Prairie Rose School Division, which has a tremendous reputation for its Academic Excellence. It is the goal of the Badlands Baseball Academy to provide its athletes with the best education possible while teaching them the necessary skills and knowledge required to become an elite baseball player. Through the sport of baseball we will teach our athletes teamwork, leadership, and respect while taking part in the experience of a lifetime.
Ball Park
Located in the Town of Oyen and just blocks from the school, the park is a well maintained facility where members of the community can come out and watch the game.
Clubhouse
Located conveniently behind the home team dugout is the Badgers Clubhouse. The clubhouse is equipped with locker room, games room, lounge, bathroom and weight room. It has two big screen TV’s as well as wireless internet access throughout. The location in respect to the diamond allows the players to take advantage of the facilities, while fulfilling all of their baseball needs.
The Barn
The “Barn” is a 13000 sq. ft. indoor training facility that is home to the Badlands Badgers off-season workouts. It houses two full-length cages with pitching mounds, a short cage for batting practice as well as screens for hitting stations. The center of facility is open and fully turfed where infield/outfield practice takes place and has enough distance for throwing programs. The indoor facility acts as a refuge during the cold Alberta winter where baseball can continue all year long.
